CAP had the great honour of being invited to a reception hosted by the HRH Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Prince Charles to recognise the work of Commonwealth Organisations around the world. The event took place on 27 October 2015 at St James’s Palace, London and was timed to be in advance of the Commonwealth Heads of Governments’ meeting in Malta. CAP was represented by Secretary-General Clive Harridge and Honorary Vice President Professor Cliff Hague.
Clive said: “It was a great honour for me to meet the Queen. She is an inspiration for the whole of the Commonwealth. As Head of the Commonwealth the Queen will lead the forthcoming CHOGM which provides a great opportunity for Commonwealth Governments to agree how they can take forward the Sustainable Development Goals recently approved by the UN”.
